In the heat of summer, two security guards secure the river below the Faverges district of Lausanne. Ammar is new to the business, and Daniel shares his experience with him. Something would have happened near the river, an indefinite and mysterious event that eludes us and that we would try to identify through the film. The starting point is the stories told by local residents, the sensations and impressions that emanate from the land and the different strata of life that coexist there: from roots and deep geological layers to spirits and energies, ideas and beliefs, via plants, animals, the elements, people and their stories and legends, past and present. Over time and through encounters, realistic, imaginary and sensory wefts weave together to compose, if not a response to the mysterious event, at least a portrait of the neighborhood, tinged with magical realism.
