In search of habitable worlds

Emeline Bolmont, Assistant Professor, Director of the Center for Life, Observatory of Geneva, University of Geneva.

Is there life elsewhere in the universe? This question has long remained unanswerable, but the discovery of small, temperate exoplanets whose atmospheres can be probed invites us to attempt to answer it scientifically. In particular, what would have to be discovered in their atmosphere for life to be detected? These are complex issues, and we'll be addressing them at this conference.

Please note: this conference takes place at the Museum of Natural History in Neuchâtel.
