Dragonflies or odonates are closely linked to aquatic environments. In Switzerland, 82 species have been reported to date. The almost systematic destruction of marshes and the large-scale damming up of our rivers has already caused the disappearance of several species, while a third of species are now threatened with extinction and included on the new red list. After a presentation of their morphology, life cycle and the habitats they colonize, we'll look at habitat renaturation projects to which dragonflies respond positively.
In the afternoon, a fun workshop will be held. Registration required by writing to animations@muzoo.ch.
