Little seen, little known; the Muscardin has been spotted in Val-de-Ruz.
Clément Vaudroz, Laboratory of Conservation Biology, University of Neuchâtel.
For his Master's thesis in biology at the University of Neuchâtel, Clément Vaudroz went in search of the Muscardin in the Val-de-Ruz. He'll be delighted to introduce you to this miniature version of the dormouse, recognizable by its reddish-brown coat and large black eyes, often unknown to the general public. Learn more about the habits of this small rodent and the threats it faces. Find out why the Muscardin plays a key role in the study and enhancement of hedgerows, edges and other networked natural structures in the Val-de-Ruz agricultural landscape.
