Tree pipit at Grand Sommartel
As part of the"Entre les herbes: les oiseaux des prairies" exhibition, come and discover the Tree Pipit at one of the species' sites in the canton, in the company of Marco Pilati from the Swiss Ornithological Institute.
The excursion will take place at Coeudres-Est, at 8:20 a.m. (each excursion lasts between 3 and 5 hours).
Once common in the mountains and plains, the Tree Pipit now occurs mainly at altitudes of over 1,200m. That's why we're going to meet this prairie bird in the wooded pastures of Grand Sommartel, where we can learn to recognize this endangered species and the most important features of its habitat.
