Goodbye Haydibay! A festive day in tribute to our brown bear.
On Sunday October 23, from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm, MUZOO will be holding a festive day in tribute to our brown bear who passed away in January this year. Haydibay lived in La Chaux-de-Fonds for twenty-nine years. His presence left a lasting impression on the audience and the MUZOO teams. We wanted to pay tribute to him by offering a rich program of bear-themed activities for the general public.

Playfully discover the diversity of bear species and the links between them and the other species in the zoo? That's what this rally is all about, as you scour the park in search of clues. Are you up to the challenge of finding the right answers as quickly as possible?
"Y'en a marre!" Offbeat tale with puppet by Théâtre de La Turlutaine

It's a story that begins with another story, that of a giant teddy bear found in a garbage can, which the skilled hands of La Turlutaine's puppeteers quickly transformed into a puppet. Then they gave it a voice... and what a voice! If you're expecting a classic bear story, think again!

Our call for contributions did not go unanswered:
Nature photographer Patricia Huguenin has prepared some pretty cards and Leporellos, artist Nicole Grédy delights us with her poetic cyanotypes produced with the feathers of some of the zoo's birds, and pupils from eight classes in La Chaux-de-Fonds have come up with an array of touching, colourful everyday objects! And lots of other surprises!
