Guided tours

MUZOO invites the public to discover its three worlds (zoo, vivarium and museum) in the company of our passionate guides! A moment of sharing that was as full of questions as it was of fun.

Guided tours are adapted to the ages and backgrounds of participants, and are enhanced with fun activities and/or objects to touch.

Standard guided tours (for groups of up to 20 people) can only be booked and purchased online, according to the dates and times available in the diary.

Bookings requiring special arrangements (groups of more than 20 people) are in principle possible, but with a three-week lead time. Please contact us directly at animations@muzoo.ch.

Zoo discovery tour

A fun and instructive walk takes you on a journey of discovery into the lives of the Zoo’s residents. Riddles and anecdotes punctuate a rich tour that allows all audiences to familiarize themselves with the issues related to the species presented, as well as the importance of modern zoos in the conservation of biodiversity.

  • Languages available: English, French, German and Italian.

  • Duration: 1h.

  • Age: 6 to 99. Content and activities are adapted to the age and background of participants.

  • Price: 130.00 –
    In addition to the price of the guided tour, entrance tickets are charged according to current rates.

  • Meeting point: MUZOO reception.

  • Appointment time: 15 min. before the start of the visit indicated on the ticket.

Depending on the day, guided tours of the zoo and vivarium can be taken in the company of animal caretakers or biologists/naturalists.

Vivarium discovery tour

Travel the world and stay put! A meandering tour from terrarium to terrarium, immersing you in the world of reptiles and amphibians. Discover their astonishing lifestyles, the threats they face, and the many initiatives that can be put in place to help them, here and elsewhere.

  • Duration: 1h.

Museum discovery tour

It’s a biodiversity crisis! So what? Come and discover the “Plan B” exhibition with our guides. Ask them all your questions and, together, discover how biodiversity works, why it’s so important to our daily existence, and what we can do together to preserve it.
